Finally, Provence's Christmas day!

Well, I have just spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post another blog...I certainly don't remember going through all this the last on my last blog posting and the worst part is, I don't know if I am going to remember how I FINALLY did it this time! Advantages of aging, I guess.

Let's see, for the past couple days, I have been trying to get my paper work in order, so Larry won't have to be bothered with it, if I don't feel up to doing it for the rest of the week. Just got your package off, Jacque. Surprisingly, no line at the post office when I got there, but a long line by the time I left! When I get done here, I will try sending out holiday cards to close friends and family and late bithday cards (sorry Cassie). Just got done rushing to the school district to make our annual donation to them that would otherwise go to the State of Arizona for taxes, if I didn't get it donated today...so that's a good thing. Our Alternative High School here does great things to help our kids, that don't quite fit into the mold of regular H.S., get the regular H.S.Diploma and , of course, they do pay Larry a nice check every month for the work he does up North in Seligman one day a week at the schools there.

Today, I will cook our Christmas Dinner of baked ham (and maybe mashed po and gravy, if I feel up to it or else we'll have baked po with sour cream and chives) and broccoli. On Christmas, I was in bed and poor Larry ate his left over cobb salad doggie bag from the Sunday before for his Christmas dinner, yuk! Now, today Larry is getting a full blumed cold. Poor guy...hope he doesn't get it is badly as I did. In fact, I still have a fever ( for nine days now) I keep thinking my thermometer is broken, but when I take Larry's temp it is 98.6. HHMMmmmmm.

Yesterday and today, I have been finally putting away Christmas presents or putting them into action. Can't believe how kind Larry was to me this year. Where do I begin..he bought me an immersible blender, nine piece pyrex set, a beautiful grill frying pan (the kind that leaves grill strips on what you are frying), Manheim Steamroller Christmas CD, portable CD player for when I practice my routines, a gold chain for the diamond necklace he bought me last year, alarm clock that shines the time on the ceiling and, also, makes nature noises if you need that to fall asleep, teapot set with teapot, cup and saucer, and I'm certain I forgot something, but the best gift I received was Larry being a very loving husband and wonderful provider. Thank you Larry for all you do and for all you are!

Larry received three shirts, slacks, satellite radio(which he hasn't decided to keep yet), socks, cookies from the kids, movie and popcorn passes, old pictures of him and amanda and Michael, his kids came to vist for a few hours the Saturday before Christmas, which was nice and we all ate lunch at the Asian Buffett...

Our Anniversay was on the 23rd..we celebrated it on the 20th at the Creekside Lodge down the road for a few hours, because on the 23rd he and his daughter were in Phoenix at the Cardinals Game..I bought Larry a new razor and a scales that gives weight, water, and fat totals and I received 2 dozen red roses that drooped their heads the next day and are being redelivered this Friday...YEY! I will have a lot more time and attention for them at this time then before.

Ok, guess that pretty much fills every one in on the Provence Christmas..'til next time..

P.S. I would customize this blog and add pics and music and color and backgrounds and stuff , if I knew how ;]

Bad News Today

Today I was advised by my Cardio guy that I must remain very quiet (which means no dancing..:[ ) until he figures out why my left vetrical is only beating 25% He said most people in my state are flat on there back by now, but there are a very few like me who just keep going until they suddenly drop over...when I laughed, he asked me if I thought that was funny. I said, "yup! That's how most my family goes..really quick, but for me, I was always told I didn't have those genes and that I would live to be in my 90's like Aunt Theresa and would be in the nut house." He didn't laugh..:[ So, now I have to have another stinken Angiogram.... remember the last one, Jacque, when I saw Beefeeter Gin bottles floating through the air during the seizure I had as a result of the drugs they gave me to overcome my allergy to the Iodine? Good thing Auntie Ree was there to tell them what to do.....the scariest part of all this is that she won't be there to protect me this time..not physically, anyway. When I was checking out and feeling sad, the doc went by, patted me on the back and said smiling, "Cheer-up, look at you, in spite of it all, you are still energetic and still dancing!! It is amazing....You are amazing!!" He is a good doc, I guess. Two weeks ago, I clipped an article from our newspaper about women's heart problems, but didn't read it until tonight and, lo and behold, the newspaper interviewed my doc because he specializes in women's heart problems.....GOD is working!

So, again, I am asking for many prayers..especially for the staff at the hospital on 1/2 from 8:00AM 'til about noon should do it.....Larry could use a few, too..He is taking all this very hard.

Get Set, GO!!!!

OK, everyone...this is your Grammie's very first blog! You can all stop your laughing now..I know it seems a bit primitive, however...you guys ain't seen nothin' yet. Just wait til I figure out how to use this darn thing..I'm certain it will become high fashioned, if that's at all possible.

Now for the big announcement.....I am feeling much better..temp is down to 101 degrees and once in a while, I even see 100.9..YEY! Hope your feeling much better, too, RY,RY...at least I didn't have to go to work feeling this badly. Have had a temp since Saturday..wonder what's that about.I haven't had a temp for 5 days total in my life, I think. Been to the doc three times since Sat doing Cardiac testing and never once has anyone mentioned my high temp...HHHMMMMMmmm...all they say is every patient they are seeing this past week has come in sick and now the staff is getting sick. Anyway, supposed to get all the test results tomorrow, so keep me in your prayers...no time for illness in my life today.

Great to see all the Christmas notes on all your blogs..makes me feel as though I was there with you all..well, I was really..in my heart, anyway. Closing for now..more later..luv to all, Grammie
